1. Krsna Solo – Music Director
He is the music director of the recent Bollywood hit ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’. Krsna cleared JEE in 1992 and was selected by IIT Roorkee but dropped the idea to study Films Communication at NID.
2. Vinod Rai – Auditor General of India
Vinod was responsible for breaking 2G scam, Coalgate, Commonwealth Games games. He cleared IIT but didn’t join it instead he did his masters in Economics from Delhi School of Economics, DU.
3. Narayana Murthy – Co-founder of Infosys
Narayana Murthy is a well-known person for every teenager. He cleared IIT but didn’t join due to financial problems as his father can’t afford it. Instead, he joined National Institute of Engineering, Mysore.
4. Prashant Bhushan – Famous Lawyer, Ex – AAP member
He cleared IIT and also got enrolled in IIT – Madras but dropped out in the 1st semester as he was homesick. He later pursued Bachelors course in Political Science, Philosophy, and Economics.
5. Rahul Yadav – Former CEO of Housing. com
Rahul was the topper of Rajasthan 12th Board exams. He cleared IIT and joined IIT-B. However, he failed miserably in studies and dropped out in the 4th year without completing the engineering course.
6. Mukesh Ambani – Managing Director of Reliance Industries
The richest person in India cleared IIT but dropped out to pursue Chemical Engineering from ICT. The reason for this is back in those days ICT was considered a better institute than IIT.
