Many of us think that India is a country full of poverty and problems. But you are wrong, India has found a place in the list of Top 10 Wealthiest Countries in the world as per the recent research conducted by New World Health.
As per the reports, India has secured the 7th position with a total wealth of $5,600 billion surpassing Canada, Australia, and Italy whose total wealth is $4,700 billion, $4,500 billion and $4,400 billion respectively. The United States of America topped the list and is the wealthiest country on the planet with a wealth of $48,900 billion.
China ranked 2nd with a total wealth of $17,400 billion behind the USA and Japan is in 3rd place with a total wealth of $15,100 billion. The United Kingdom, Germany, and France stood in 4, 5 and 6th ranks with a wealth of $9,200 billion, $9,100 billion and $6,600 billion respectively.
In this list, when we talk about wealth it refers to the person’s net assets which include business interests, cash, equities and other assets. This list doesn’t include government funds. India has secured a place in this list because of its vast population of over 1.2 billion. Surprisingly, Australia with just 22 million population has managed a spot in the list.
